Goethe, in his famous trip to Italy, described the lake as "an admirable work of nature" and it is still the effect it has: a natural work of art, with picturesque medieval villages that almost always overlook the water, olive groves and mountains that majestically embrace Lake Garda.

Staying in one of the camping-villages closest to the villages will allow you to reach the historic center and the narrow alleys of the village, often surrounded by ancient medieval walls, with a short and pleasant lakeside walk or on a cycle-pedestrian path.
