Navigarda
The Navigazione sul Lago di Garda fleet offers quick connections between the towns and villages of Lake Garda aboard swift, up-to-the-minute hydrofoils and catamarans. Another option is to sit back and enjoy a trip by motor ship, as you admire the splendid scenery from the water.
From the lake, visitors can admire many of the finest attractions the area has to offer: the Castle in Sirmione and the Grotto of Catullus; the Gulf of Salò, wedged between the Island of Garda and the striking Vittoriale in Gardone Riviera; the lemon groves that stretch from Gargnano to Limone; the commanding Castle of Malcesine; the Punta di S.Vigilio peninsula, and all those fabulous little villages with their walls, gates and castles, which make the Garda so unforgettably unique.
In addition to the classic passenger ferries, some of which are equipped for carrying bicycles, there are also some very convenient ferries for the transport of vehicles that run between Maderno and Torri del Benaco in the middle of the lakeshore; the half-hour crossing is an excellent alternative to hours of tailbacks on the Gardesana road, which is often very busy, especially in the high season.
