Via Derna 4, Castelnuovo del Garda
Gardaland is Italy’s no. 1 amusement park, and currently among the top parks of its kind in Europe.
Nestling in the attractive morainic hills on the banks of Lake Garda, each year the park presents a series of futuristic new attractions.
The beauty of Gardaland is that it has something to suit all tastes and all ages, in terms both of attractions and settings, making it ideal for both families and teenagers.
Superbly organised, scrupulously clean and taken care of in every detail, the park is equipped with a full range of services able to guarantee days and days of great fun!
The original idea for the Park came from a local businessman. On his return from a visit to Disneyland in California, Livio Furini, a retailer from Peschiera del Garda, decided to recreate something similar here on the lakeshore, and his winning idea led to the inauguration of Gardaland on 19 July 1975.
Advice for visitors to the Park
It is advisable to avoid the busiest days (weekends, bank holidays, special events, long holiday weekends and national holidays) and to book and pay for your ticket at one of the advance sales points in the area.
In many of our campsites you can buy tickets in advance with very special price!
On the busiest days, it is well worth buying the special “Gardaland Express” card: purchased along with your ticket for the Park, it offers reserved access to a number of attractions, without having to wait in the queue.
Once the park opens in the morning and you have come through the gates, it is advisable to move out of the area at the entrance, where visitors tend to crowd, and perhaps head straight for those attractions that are generally the busiest (such as Fuga da Atlantide, Mammut or Raptor). The area at the back of the Park is usually very quiet just after opening.
Consult the programme with the times of the shows right away in the morning, so you don’t miss out on any.
To visit Garda Sea Life, or for any other reason, you may leave Gardaland for a while. To get back in, make sure you have the staff stamp your hand. A visit to the aquarium takes about an hour and half.
